Who is a good candidate for rhinoplasty in Turkey?
Rhinoplasty suits you if you are in good general health, your facial growth is complete (generally 18+), and you have a clear, realistic idea of what you want to change. If your concern is mainly breathing, a functional component (septorhinoplasty) is planned in. The procedure, step by step
- Consultation and planning. Your nose and face are assessed, breathing checked, the approach chosen and a plan agreed. Photographs and sometimes simulation aid the discussion.
- Anaesthesia. Performed under general anaesthesia in an accredited hospital with full anaesthetic cover.
- Reshaping. Through internal (closed) or internal-plus-columella (open) incisions, the bone and cartilage are reshaped, refined and supported with the nose’s own cartilage where grafts are needed.
- Splinting. An external cast supports the new shape; internal splints are sometimes used.
How much does rhinoplasty cost in Turkey?

What moves the price
€2,500 is where the range starts. Four things decide where your own quote lands:
- How much reshaping you need. A tip refinement is the simplest case. Reducing a dorsal hump, narrowing the bridge or correcting asymmetry takes longer and costs more.
- Cartilage grafts. When support has to be rebuilt with cartilage from the septum, ear or rib, surgical time goes up and the price sits higher in the range.
- Revision. A revision rhinoplasty works through scar tissue and altered anatomy, so it is always quoted above a first-time nose.
- Breathing and ethnic work. If your breathing also needs correcting, a septorhinoplasty combines the cosmetic and functional work in one operation, which changes the quote. An ethnic rhinoplasty, which refines the nose while keeping the proportions of your heritage, is priced the same way.
Pick on the surgeon, the hospital and the aftercare, and treat the lowest number in your inbox with suspicion: a quote that low usually leaves out surgeon involvement, accreditation or aftercare.
What the package includes

Recovery timeline
You look presentable quickly, but the nose keeps changing for months. The first week is spent in Istanbul, and the rest of the recovery happens at home with remote follow-up. Timelines vary from person to person, and no surgery comes with a guaranteed outcome.
Days 1–3. This is the most swollen, congested stretch. You breathe through your mouth, sleep propped up on two pillows so your head stays above your heart, and use cold compresses around the cast (never on it) to limit bruising. Most people describe pressure and stuffiness rather than pain, and the simple pain relief your surgeon prescribes covers it. You stay in Istanbul, close to the hospital.
Days 4–7. Bruising around the eyes peaks, then starts to fade. You rest, walk gently, and avoid bending, lifting and blowing your nose. At the end of this week the external cast and any internal splints come off at a check-up. The nose looks swollen but recognisably yours, and this is usually when you are cleared to fly home.
Weeks 2–3. Most bruising fades and visible swelling drops. Most people go back to desk work during this stretch. The nose still feels firm, tight and a little numb, and the tip can sit slightly upturned, so don’t judge the shape yet.
Weeks 4–6. Swelling over the bridge settles and the new outline becomes clearer. Walking and gentle movement come back early, but strenuous exercise, contact sport and anything that risks a knock wait until this stage. Glasses that rest on the bridge usually wait too; your surgeon tells you when.
Months 2–3. The deeper swelling keeps draining, the bridge looks cleaner and most everyday restrictions lift.
Months 6–18. The tip is the slowest area to settle. It keeps refining through this whole stretch, and longer after revision or with thicker skin. The nose you see at around one year is essentially your final result.
Risks and side effects
Rhinoplasty carries the usual surgical risks plus the possibility of asymmetry, a breathing change, or a result that needs minor revision later.
