Hair transplant in Antalya — at the end of your holiday.

Hair transplant in Antalya at an A-class licensed partner hospital: a 7-night resort plan with surgery last, sun and sea rules, AYT flights and transfers.

Antalya runs on beach holidays. Charter flights land at Antalya Airport (AYT) all season, and most visitors spend a week at a resort in Lara, Konyaaltı, Belek, Side or Kemer. If that describes your trip, a hair transplant can fit into it without a separate journey. You keep the sea and the pool for the first part of the week and leave the last two days for the procedure.

Alpha Clinic Turkey arranges the surgery at a Ministry of Health A-class licensed partner hospital in Antalya. It is the same package, at the same price, that patients get in Istanbul.

How the Antalya trip is organised

We are a TÜRSAB-registered health tourism agency and have been organising hair transplants since 2012, for more than 11,000 patients from over 70 countries. Our part is everything around the operation: a surgeon looks at your photos before you book, then we fix the date, run the transfers from your hotel, prepare your medication and stay in touch for 12 months afterwards. You can read how we choose and check partner hospitals on a separate page.

The surgery itself is FUE, Sapphire FUE or DHI, usually six to eight hours under local anaesthetic. Techniques and graft counts are covered on the main hair transplant page.

Your coordinator speaks your language. We work in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Turkish and Russian, from the first message to the last follow-up photo.

A seven-night resort week, surgery last

Here is the plan most of our Antalya patients follow:

Day Plan
Day 1 Fly into AYT, transfer to your resort.
Days 2–5 Ordinary holiday. Swim, eat, go on the boat trip. Protect your scalp from burning, because a sunburnt scalp can delay surgery. Alcohol stops when your pre-op sheet says so, usually a few days ahead.
Day 6 Morning pick-up from the hotel. Six to eight hours at the partner hospital, then back to your room in the late afternoon with a bandaged donor area, uncovered grafts and a bag of medication.
Day 7 Check-up and first medicated wash at the hospital, around 24 hours after surgery. A nurse removes the bandage and teaches you the wash routine. The rest of the day belongs to the shade.
Day 8 Flight home from AYT, 36 to 48 hours after the operation.

On a ten- or fourteen-night stay the shape doesn’t change. The surgery simply moves to two days before your flight home. If you only have three or four nights, speak to us before you book anything.

Why the procedure can’t go first

After a transplant the scalp needs a month away from salt water, chlorine, saunas and direct sunshine. In Antalya, that list is basically the holiday. Have the surgery on day two and you would spend five days watching the pool from under an umbrella, unable even to wear a cap until around day ten.

Put it at the end and you lose almost nothing. The quiet days fall on the last afternoon and the travel day, and the rest of the healing happens at home.

Antalya sun and the first month

Antalya has a long, hot summer and strong sunshine from spring well into autumn. That makes sun protection the rule that matters most here. Our recovery timeline has the full week-by-week detail. These are the points patients in Antalya ask about most:

  • No sun on the grafts. Sunscreen goes on your face, not on the transplanted area, until your post-op sheet allows it. Shade does the work.
  • No hat until about day ten. Then a loose, clean cap is fine. Before that, nothing should press on the grafts, sun hats included.
  • A month without swimming. The sea, the pool, the hammam and the sauna all wait four weeks.
  • Alcohol and smoking. Keep both out for at least the first one to two weeks. All-inclusive bars make this the rule people forget.
  • Sweat. Gentle walks are fine after two or three days. The gym, jogging and anything that makes you sweat hard wait about two weeks.

The first 72 hours at your hotel

The evening after surgery is usually calm. The local anaesthetic wears off slowly, and the head feels tight and sore rather than painful. Sleep half-upright with a travel pillow, and take the medication on your post-op sheet at the times written there.

The next morning brings the check-up. Some swelling around the forehead is normal by then; it is fluid from the procedure settling downwards. Around day three it peaks, sometimes down to the eyelids, and then drains away on its own, usually after you are home. Small scabs form over every graft. Leave them alone.

Call your coordinator the same day if you see redness that spreads, pain that grows after the first week, pus, fever, or bleeding that light pressure doesn’t stop. These are rare, and a doctor should look at them, not a search engine.

Flights and transfers

AYT is one of Turkey’s busiest holiday airports, with direct flights from across Europe, Russia and Central Asia and far more choice between April and October. In winter there are fewer routes, though you can always connect through Istanbul. For Alanya and the coast east of it, Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport (GZP) is an alternative during the season.

Our driver collects you from Lara, Konyaaltı, Belek, Kemer, Side or Alanya for both hospital days. You do not have to change hotels. If you would like a room closer to the hospital for those two nights, we can book one, since TÜRSAB registration allows us to arrange accommodation.

Picking your month

  • April and May: the season is warming up and the midday sun is still forgiving. A very good balance.
  • June to August: the hottest months and the hardest for the sun rules, with peak crowds too. It works, but after surgery you will be indoors with the air-conditioning for the middle of every day.
  • September and October: the sea keeps its summer warmth while the air eases. Our favourite window for combining a real holiday with an easy first week.
  • November to March: mild, quiet, and you give up nothing by staying out of the water. Some seasonal resorts close, so check your hotel’s dates.

What to pack

Bring a travel pillow for sleeping and for the flight, and a few button-up shirts so nothing has to be pulled over your head. Pack face sunscreen and a loose cap for day ten onwards. Keep your medication list and post-op sheet in your hand luggage.

Travelling with a partner or children

Families are common in Antalya. While you are at the hospital, the rest of your group can stay at the beach or join a kids’ club. After the check-up you can sit with them under an umbrella. You just stay out of the water.

Price, deposit and cancellation

Hair transplant packages start from €1,900, depending on technique and graft range. Your exact price is confirmed in writing, free of charge, once a surgeon has reviewed your photos, and that written figure is what you pay. No agency fee is added on the day. Flights and the holiday itself are your own booking; from the transfers to the hospital, the medication and the follow-up, the rest is in the package. The full list of inclusions is on the hair transplant cost page. A 15% deposit holds your date, and you can cancel free of charge until one week before surgery.

Antalya or Istanbul?

The medical side is identical in both cities. Istanbul has more flights and a wider choice of partner hospitals, which suits a short, procedure-only trip. Antalya makes sense when you were going to the coast anyway. Tell your coordinator which you are leaning towards and they will plan around it.

Booking it

  1. Send four photos (front, top, crown and the back of your head) through the free consultation, together with your holiday dates.
  2. A surgeon estimates your graft count and you receive a fixed quote.
  3. We put the surgery two days before your flight home.
  4. Pick-ups from your resort for the operation and the check-up.
  5. Twelve months of follow-up, with photo reviews at agreed milestones.

What happens medically at each stage is explained on the procedure page.

Questions
every patient asks.

The answers patients ask for most. If yours isn't here, ask on WhatsApp — we reply within 5 minutes during working hours.

Before the operation, yes, and you should: a sunburnt or deeply tanned scalp can push the surgery back. After it, no hat at all for roughly ten days, because anything pressing on fresh grafts can dislodge them. That is why we plan your last pool day for the day before surgery and keep you in the shade from then on.
Yes. Transfers run from Lara, Konyaaltı, Belek, Kemer, Side and Alanya on the operation day and on the check-up day. From Alanya the drive is roughly two hours each way, so expect an early pick-up on both mornings.
Drinks, mainly. Alcohol stops a few days before surgery, as your pre-op sheet specifies, and stays off for at least one to two weeks afterwards. Food is fine. The pool, the sea, the sauna and the hammam are off for a month, but by then you will be home.
Of course. The aftercare rules cover your scalp, nobody else's. Most families keep their beach days; you spend the operation day at the hospital and the next day mostly in the room or under an umbrella, then everyone flies home together.
September and October are our favourite, with April and May a close second. The sea is pleasant, the midday sun is gentler than in high summer, and a shaded first week is no hardship. June to August is the hottest stretch and the hardest for the sun rules: it works, but you will spend the middle of each day indoors.
Only if it leaves less than 36 hours after your surgery. You need the operation day, then the check-up and first medicated wash the next day, and only then the airport. If your package-holiday flight is fixed, we set the surgery date around it rather than the other way round.
No. The package, the price and the standard of the partner hospital are identical. What differs is the trip around it: Antalya suits patients who are already booked into a beach holiday, Istanbul suits a short trip built only around the procedure.
